Valentine's Day Ideas and Romantic Dinner Recipes
Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days of
the year. It's wonderful when my husband and I can have some romantic
time alone. Just like every other married couple we need to reconnect
in a romantic way. Enjoying a romantic dinner at home has become our favorite
thing. There is absolutely nothing romantic about a crowded restaurant.
At home it's just us, candlelight, music in the background, a bottle of
wine and his favorite meal.
The first Valentine's Day dinner I made for my hubby was Chicken Divan.
The recipe I used is from the Gourmet Magazine, so naturally it's made
from scratch. No canned cream of mushroom soup in this one. Your loved
one is sure to enjoy this recipe.
The ultimate Valentine's Day Cake or dessert idea has got to be Red Velvet
Cake. It's perfect. Cook your Red Velvet Cake in a heart shaped pan like
I did to add to the romance of the dinner.
If you really want to get your loved one into the "mood" you
can always try to plan your Valentine's Day dinner menu around foods with
an aphrodisiac quality.
Food know for their aphrodisiac quality; Asparagus, Almonds, Avocados,
Basil, Bananas, Chocolates, Carrots, Garlic, Ginger, Honey, Licorice,
Mustard, Nutmeg, Oysters, Pine Nuts, Pineapple, Raspberries and Strawberries,
Truffles, and Vanilla.
We've picked the best of the best recipes from today's top chef's and
gourmet magazines to help you plan a romantic Valentine's Day Menu.
