Sweet Stuffed Dates I'm going to take liberty to call these simple to make Christmas candy's Dad's Sweet Stuffed Dates, cause when I was a child that's what they were. 40+ years ago our Gram (my father's mother), my sister and I would make these every year. We'd carefully package them in a white box with waxed paper. We knew that he knew what was in that white box and he looked forward to them every year.

Sweet Stuffed Dates Open the peanuts. Discard shell and skin. Stuff each date with peanut (or two) to fill. Roll stuffed dates in granulated sugar. Place on wax paper in sealed container. There, literally only three steps to make Christmas Magic. While I was thinking
back on this recipe I looked online for it. I never realized there may
be a Middle Eastern influence with this recipe. I guess the use of the
peanut and granulated sugar was an Americanized version. A Middle Eastern
twist would be to stuff the dates, or Medjools as they are called, with
almonds, pecans or walnuts and roll them in powdered sugar. Our
